Registered Nurse (RN) – Hidden Creek Recovery & Retreat Pay: RN: $38.00 – $48.00 per hour Employment Type: Part-Time/ PRN/ FT Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7: 00 PM - 7:00 AM About Hidden Creek Recovery & Retreat Hidden Creek Recovery & Retreat is a premier residential behavioral health treatment program dedicated to helping adolescents heal, grow, and thrive. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and supportive environment for youth ages 11–17 struggling with mental health and behavioral health challenges. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our overnight clinical team. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working with adolescents, excels in crisis management, possesses strong clinical judgment, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in behavioral healthcare. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to adolescent clients receiving residential treatment for behavioral health concerns, including: Depression and anxietyTrauma-related disordersMood instabilitySelf-harm behaviorsSuicidal ideationAggression and behavioral challengesSubstance use disordersCo-occurring psychiatric conditions The RN is responsible for medication administration, health assessments, monitoring client well-being, collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team, and supporting the overall medical needs of clients throughout their treatment journey. Essential Responsibilities Clinical Care & Assessments Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactionsComplete daily vital signs and ongoing nursing assessmentsConduct weekly nursing evaluations and document findings accuratelyObserve and assess clients for changes in physical or mental health statusImplement treatment protocols as directed by the Director of Nursing and Clinical teamProvide routine nursing care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety Medication Management Administer medications according to physician orders and organizational policiesEducate clients regarding medications, side effects, and medication complianceMonitor medication adherence and report concerns to providersDocument medication administration and client responses accurately Collaboration & Treatment Planning Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and other treatment team membersAssist providers during weekly client appointments and medical evaluationsCommunicate medical concerns promptly to the Director of Nursing and treatment teamContribute medical information to treatment planning and interdisciplinary discussionsCarry out and document verbal orders accurately and professionally, within scope of practice Education & Compliance Facilitate health education and medication education groupsMaintain compliance with infection control standards and Universal PrecautionsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, committee meetings, and staff trainingMaintain required certifications and complete all mandatory education programs Professional Expectations Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgmentRespond effectively during crisis situationsAdapt to changing clinical needs in a fast-paced environmentFoster positive relationships with clients, families, and colleaguesContribute positively to team culture and organizational success Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact State eligibilityMinimum one (1) year of nursing experienceCurrent BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association required)Strong clinical assessment and documentation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Preferred Qualifications Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, adolescent psychiatry, eating disorders, or acute careBSN (for RN candidates)CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) CertificationExperience working with adolescent populationsKnowledge of psychotropic medications and psychiatric diagnoses Desired Skills & Experience Understanding of Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), and Binge Eating Disorder (BED)Ability to identify and monitor for refeeding syndromeKnowledge of medical instability indicators and cardiac risks, including bradycardiaStrong medication administration and monitoring skillsTrauma-informed care experienceEffective crisis intervention and de-escalation skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Work Environment Residential behavioral health treatment settingCollaborative, multidisciplinary treatment teamExposure to medically and psychiatrically complex adolescent populationsFast-paced and rewarding clinical environment Why Join Hidden Creek Recovery & Retreat?
