A Day in the Life of a Registered Nurse (RN)
You play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!
- Maintain careful monitoring of residents' condition and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Maintain narcotic policies and procedures, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in residents' conditions.
- Oversight of nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed.
- Complete documentation and manage admission and discharge processes.
- Monitor for bruises, skin tears, or neglect and report findings.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements and facility policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification.
- Confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA regulations.
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing preferred but not required.
- Trustworthy and respectful of others.
- Dependable, professional, and a team player.
- Ability to establish a good rapport with others and communicate effectively.
