This role involves providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies. Key Responsibilities Include Leading daily activities of nursing staff and ensuring policy compliance.Promoting holistic resident care using the nursing model.Participating in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.Assessing resident status changes, notifying physicians and families, and documenting findings.Transcribing and executing physician orders, including medication administration and wound care.Scheduling follow-up appointments and managing transportation.Providing nursing leadership and direct care skills such as IV administration, wound care, and tube feedings.Conducting rounds, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring resident needs are met.Reporting incidents, maintaining supplies, and updating care plans.Participating in survey processes, QAPI activities, and infection control practices.Reporting abuse, neglect, or mistreatment allegations and performing other assigned duties. Qualifications Include An accredited nursing degree and current unrestricted RN license.At least one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.Compassionate approach when working with residents.
