About the role

Facility: MediLodge of Grand Rapids
Starting Wages: $41.90-$56.90 per hour
Shift: All Shifts Available

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents.
  • Serves as a supervisor and guide to clinical staff members.
  • Assigns nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff qualifications.
  • Administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments for assigned residents.
  • Documents treatments and ensures compliance with company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
  • Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
  • Ensures supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
  • Reports and documents pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
  • Counsels, disciplines, and terminates staff, to the extent permitted by state practice act.
  • Schedules and directs the nursing staff to the extent permitted by state practice act.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience preferred.

  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay

Wage Calculation is based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, $2/hr attendance bonus, and a $5/hr weekend warrior program.
Flexible Pay Options: Get paid daily, weekly, or bi-weekly through UKG Wallet.
