About the role
Lions Rehab Center, a 101-bed skilled nursing facility in Cumberland, Maryland, is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assess and monitor residents' health status and respond promptly to changes
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs as needed
- Document accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Follow all policies and procedures of the facility
- Serves as charge nurses when assigned
- Participates as required in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Attends all required educational activities and meetings
- Maintains confidentiality of resident and facility information
- Demonstrates respect of resident rights and dignity
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Maryland
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus—but we'll train the right candidate
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- A team-player mindset with a passion for patient-centered care
