About the role
The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service, and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.
Responsibilities
- Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on your shift.
- Administer direct care as necessary.
- Give and receive shift reports.
- Round and assure that proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
- Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Respond to resident emergency call system.
- Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
- Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
- Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- RN with a current license in Pennsylvania.
- At least 1 year experience in geriatric nursing.
- LTC a plus.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies and provide immediate care.
- Knowledge of long-term care and geriatric nursing practices.

Pay
Starting at $40-45/hr plus a shift differential of $4/hr. for Weekday Evenings and Nights, and $6/hr. for all weekend shifts.
Schedule
