Registered Nurse - RN

Aurora on France TCU in Edina, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver individualized resident care using the nursing process. This role involves delegating, directing, and monitoring nursing care while demonstrating sound clinical skills through problem solving and decision making.

Schedule

• 16 hours every two weeks
• Evening shift: 2 PM – 10:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Block schedule:
  • Week 1: Saturday and Sunday
  • Week 2: Not scheduled

Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. Conveniently located near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. with bus access, it offers 136 units spanning Transitional Care, Enhanced Care, and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Responsibilities

• Monitors personal cares to ensure alignment with individual care plans
• Observes and evaluates nursing staff performance through daily rounds
• Ensures NARs complete assignments and documentation; redirects as needed
• Delegates tasks to nursing assistants within their scope of practice
• Provides feedback to RN Charge Nurse/Nurse Manager on LPN/NAR performance
• Escalates staff performance concerns, duty refusals, or problematic areas with suggested solutions
• Attends mandatory, annual, and other educational opportunities
• Answers call lights and telephones
• Participates in audits as assigned
• Assists with appointments, transportation, and patient transfers to the ED
• Monitors mealtimes for proper staff coverage, diet adherence, and timeliness
• Serves as a liaison with families and external healthcare providers
• Actively participates in admission and discharge processes
• Contacts physicians/families promptly when indicated and documents outcomes

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Less than 1 year of nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience
• Less than 1 year of TCU LPN/RN experience
• Six months of previous experience in a related role
