About the role

The individual will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Charge Nurses. Midshift 4p-12a.

Responsibilities

• Guides the patient through their detox process per the physician's orders.
• Works to educate the patient about his/her condition and assists the physician and ARNP with accurate clinical reporting of patient conditions, status, and proper clinical actions.
• Performs nursing assessments at intake and performs necessary discharge nursing actions as well as routine reports needed from clinical for insurance patients.
• Administers prescribed medications, as prescribed by the medical team.
• Makes independent decisions within the scope of their license involving patient care.
• Uses sound judgment in informing the Chief Nursing Officer/Charge Nurse and the Medical Director of all decisions made and how they should be communicated.
