Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

Provides professional nursing care in accordance with facility policies, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for designated patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure quality and safety, participating in research and improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues using appropriate verbal and non-verbal styles.
• Coordinate patient and family education to facilitate care transitions.
• Support departmental and hospital goals through teamwork, participating in performance improvement processes.
• Perform technical skills specific to clinical specialty and unit practice, incorporating technology to enhance care delivery.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring new staff, delegating tasks based on skills and patient acuity, and contributing to performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current licensure in the state.
• Knowledge reflective of current nursing practice, with the ability to organize and prioritize care.
• Successful completion of specialty orientation and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Stand/walk frequently.
• Perform activities such as kneeling, bending, and CPR as required.
