Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Out Patient Services setting.
- Communicates with physicians, Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist, directs and guides and other personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Out Patient Department.
- Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
- Adheres to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
- Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- PALS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred.
- Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
