Position Summary

The preoperative / postoperative registered nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care in the preoperative and postoperative periods of the patient’s surgical experience through the framework of the nursing process.

Qualifications

• Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Experience/Skills OR: minimum of one (1) year recent PreOp/PACU experience nursing experience
• Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
  • Current California Registered Nurse License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) card
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card
• Certification in specialty preferred
• Completion of moderate sedation class (.edu) - (must complete within 30 days of hire/ transfer)
