About the role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our healthcare team. Shifts include 8-hour shifts, a NOC shift, PM shift, AM shift, and weekend availability is required, with preference for every other weekend or one weekend day per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders.
- Support the hospital and program philosophy of care.
- Ensure the well-being of patients.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Current BLS for healthcare provider card required upon hire.
- Demonstrates sound leadership skills and organizes activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks.
- Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology, medical terminology, and psycho-pharmacy.
- Familiarity with interventions common to acute psychotic and non-violent crises.
- Therapeutic Options Training (TOT) to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor.
