Registered Nurse (RN) -Advanced Clinician Nurse ICU North

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses the patient based on their medical condition.
• Knows and administers ordered medications as prescribed.
• Provides care appropriate to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care activities.
• Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates its effectiveness.
• Demonstrates the ability to use nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Identifies and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and family, and communicates with social services as needed.
• Promotes cost-effective practices and reduces the risk of unnecessary harm associated with healthcare.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and efficiently.

Specifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in current unit or specialty area; or 4 years’ experience in acute care hospital setting or comparable specialty area; and evidence of 6 clinical nursing education contact hours attained within the past 12 months.

• Education: Minimum graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Licensure: RN; BLS certification within 14 days of hire; preferred ACLS/PALS specialty certification.
