Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of assigned patients.
- Supervise and delegate care and tasks to other personnel.
- Coordinate and document care for patients with varying ages from children 12 years through geriatrics.
- Make decisions about changes in patient conditions and communicate these verbally and in writing to the healthcare team.
- Manage critical care patients with multisystem medical problems.
- Respond calmly to emergencies.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- CPR certification or obtained within three months of employment.
- ACLS certification within twelve months of hire and maintain certification per hospital policy.
- ASLS certification within twelve months of hire.
- BSN preferred.
- Certification in area of specialty preferred.
- One year experience in area applying for preferred.
- Recent experience in Critical Care clinical environments as a registered nurse preferred.
- PALS certification preferred.
