About the Role
Provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care across all age groups within the health continuum in the ACU/PACU setting.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Partner with patients, families, and care teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Make flexible care decisions based on patient condition, reassessing and prioritizing needs.
- Adhere to professional scope of practice, ANA standards, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Vermont.
- Preferred previous nursing experience.
- Certifications: BLS required; additional certifications (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC) as per department.
- Completion of patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint training per unit guidelines.
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in acute-care nursing.
- Moderate knowledge of computer skills.
