Essential Functions
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Auxiliaries patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing
- Walking
- Lifting/moving patients
- Repetitive hand/arm movements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

Exposure: Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
