About the Role

Riley Outpatient Surgery Center is a teaching facility focused on pediatric patients. It is located within Riley Hospital in downtown Indianapolis and operates Monday through Friday from 0700-1730. The facility has six operating rooms and is known for its close-knit team that provides excellent care and ensures a positive experience for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a pediatric setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education

Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN) degree; a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) is preferred
• At least 2 years of OR experience preferred, but 1 year is required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 2 Years OR experience Preferred, at least 1 year OR experience required
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
