Registered Nurse - Respiratory Care Unit

Role Overview: This registered nurse (RN) position provides specialized care in a Respiratory Care Unit focused on adult and geriatric patients requiring mechanical ventilation or complex respiratory monitoring. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and physicians, to deliver patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and care transitions.Support professional nursing practices across various settings and care continuum.Lead and participate in quality improvement activities and mentorship roles.Delegate patient care based on skill level, patient acuity, and resource availability.Engage patients and families in structured meetings to enhance care experience. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; one year of RN experience required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience working in team environments and proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Strong critical thinking and leadership abilities.Current RN license, BLS certification, and any necessary state licensure or specialty certifications.
