About the role
A registered nurse in a long-term care setting is responsible for patient care, supervising staff, and coordinating care plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise staff
- Coordinate patient care plans and consult with healthcare team
- Manage telephone triage, patient flow, and scheduling
- Identify patient and family learning needs, provide advice
- Insert IVs, administer medications, and handle clinical duties as assigned
- Enter admission orders and manage lab samples
- Cover additional duties such as assisting with Medical Assistant or LPN tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Patient-centered, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Experience less than 1 year preferred
