Registered Nurse Resident - Medical/Surgical Nursing

About the Role

This position involves completing all required training, clinical competencies, and professional development activities within a Nurse Residency Program. The nurse works under supervision to refine skills, manage clinical situations, and provide patient care adhering to organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical training and professional development
• Perform nursing assessments and collect patient data
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
• Administer treatments, provide patient education, and give discharge instructions
• Record observations and document care activities
• Delegate tasks appropriately and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, licensing, and ethical standards
• Maintain patient safety and advocate for patient rights

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• No prior experience required; candidates with over 12 months of experience are ineligible
• Current RN license or provisional license with NCLEX testing completed
