Registered Nurse-Queens

Responsibilities

• Oversight and coordination of medical care for individuals living in the residential program
• Ongoing assessment and follow-up of each individual's health and well-being
• Collaboration with medical providers, residential staff, day program staff, and families to support continuity of care
• Maintenance of accurate and timely medical documentation
• Health-related training and guidance to residential staff
• Development and implementation of medical policies and best practices within the program

Requirements

• A current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• At least two years of post-graduate hospital experience (preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is a plus
