Serves as a liaison with accrediting and regulatory bodies such as TJC, CMS, and Department of Health. Assists in providing direction and assistance to the medical staff regarding medical staff quality measures.

Requirements

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
• Current BLS certification is required
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses

Experience

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
