Department Job Description Summary

Under the direction of the QI and Compliance Manager, this position will assist with conducting chart audits and other data analysis for quality and compliance plan measures. They will also create and maintain compliance and quality dashboards and graphs, assist with QI and Compliance meetings, prepare and assist with audits, assist with the Participant Advisory Committee meetings, assist in drafting and updating policies and procedures, and support administrative projects.

  • Takes minutes at meetings according to prescribed format, obtains approval, and distributes as requested.
  • Maintains minimum inventory of office supplies as requested and within budget limitations.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintains appointments, schedule, and calendar as assigned by the Director.
  • Opens and routes incoming mail.
  • Uses knowledge, initiative, and discretion to respond to routine and/or confidential mail as documented.
  • Maintains files in an organized and comprehensive manner.
  • Acts as a focal point for Departmental administrative projects; supports other departments as required.
  • Accepts constructive correction as a means for improving job performance and demonstrates a willingness to learn.
  • Updates facility Policies and Procedures, Disaster Plan, Infection Control, and other manuals as directed.
  • Serves as backup to the receptionists and Business Office Coordinators.

Qualifications

  • State of Florida RN License.
  • BLS required.
  • No formal education required.
  • 2-3 years of administrative support experience, preferably in quality improvement and/or compliance in the medical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
