About the Role

At Putnam Hospital, a 164-bed acute care hospital serving the local community in Carmel, New York, you will develop and maintain an environment that supports service excellence behaviors. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while demonstrating respect for patient rights and providing considerate, individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees by identifying, reporting, and correcting unsafe conditions.
• Comply with established departmental and hospital policies, rules, and regulations.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate respect for patient rights and provide considerate, individualized care.
• Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for personal work performance.
• Acquire, maintain, and demonstrate current knowledge and competency in nursing practice.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Working Conditions

• Manual: Requires some manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity.
• Occupational: Some occupational risk.
• Physical Effort: Medium to heavy effort; may exert up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.

Pay

Hourly rate: $44.88 - $68.11
