Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

About the role

Responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care on a 44-bed stepdown unit specializing in trauma, neurosciences, surgery, and oncology.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, report changes, perform procedures as ordered, document care thoroughly, administer prescribed medications, and monitor responses
• Serve as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience and collaborate with medical providers to support pre- and post-operative care

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina
• BLS certification
• At least one year of nursing experience
• Preferred master's degree and national certification in specialty areas
• Knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care is essential
