Registered Nurse - PRN Tier Plan

About the Role

This PRN nursing position offers flexible scheduling with tier-based pay rates, including shift differentials for nights and weekends. The nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
• Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs according to their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Pay

Tier-based pay rates, including shift differentials for nights and weekends.
