Registered Nurse, PRN

Responsibilities

• Supervise and administer direct patient care with optimism and excellent skills.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and consult with other practitioners as needed.
• Adjust nursing care processes as indicated for patient care.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Follow infection control standards as part of the safe and therapeutic environment.
• Identify patients as risk for nosocomial infections.
• Maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation in EHR system, including patient medical histories, physical assessments, changes in physical condition, and develop/implement the plan of care for each patient admitted.
• Provide a pain assessment and the response to treatment in the medical record.
• Provide health care instruction to patient and family members.
• Participate in the developing patient care plan as well as the discharge plan of the patient.
• Prepare and administer oral medication, IV fluids, and medication.
• Administer treatments and perform outpatient procedures as ordered by medical providers.
• Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, and in-service meetings and workshops.
• Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good employee relationships.

Requirements

• Montana RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Emergency Room experience and PALS certification (a plus).
• Motivated and a team player.
