Registered Nurse - PRN
About the role
Provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Mt. Sterling, IL. This is a PRN (as needed) role with flexible scheduling, offering the opportunity to work 3–5 days per month, plus additional coverage for PTO and onsite events.
Support a busy primary care and occupational health clinic alongside experienced providers, caring for employees and dependents. Utilize your clinical, phlebotomy, and customer service skills in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
- Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures
- Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
- At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic

Pay
Premise provides its reasonable and expected range of compensation for this job of $36.80 - $46.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
