Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, professional nursing care within a multi-specialty clinic setting. This role supports patients across the continuum of their clinic experience by performing assessments, coordinating care, addressing clinical needs in person and through patient communication channels, and ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery. The RN works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic team members to promote positive patient outcomes, efficient workflows, and an excellent patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs timely and accurate patient assessments across a variety of clinical situations, whether through in-person encounters or patient communication channels.
- Using sound clinical judgment, the RN identifies patient needs, evaluates symptoms, and supports care decisions in partnership with providers, escalating concerns that require urgent attention.
- Provides comprehensive nursing care by delivering a full range of services such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications and vaccines, assisting with procedures, performing clinical tasks and interventions, and supporting provider visits.
- Maintains patient comfort, ensures safety, and communicates clearly to promote understanding and trust.
- Responds to patient questions, concerns, and symptom changes through phone calls, electronic messages, and direct interactions. Offers patient education, self-care guidance, and next steps based on established practice standards.
- Assists with care coordination by supporting care plans, communicating results, and arranging referrals.
- Carefully coordinates follow-up appointments and timely interventions to support continuity of care.
- Maintains accurate and high-quality clinical documentation, capturing assessments, interventions, communications, and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in primary care or clinic settings preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
