Registered Nurse- Preop Testing Center, FT Days

About the role

Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of patient served on nursing unit or by patient care departments.

Assumes responsibility for implementation of the Pre-Surgical Testing Program.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of surgical experience. Perioperative and pre surgical testing experience preferred.
• License: Current license issued by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BCLS required.

Qualifications

• Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force.
• Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

Skills

• Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
• Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Pay

$48.49-$73.58/hr
