Registered Nurse Pre Post Procedural CARS RN

About the role

Banner Health is seeking a Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse to join our team at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix. This position offers the opportunity to participate in the Nursing Clinical Ladder Program, providing high acuity invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedure pre and post-unit care.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and recovers invasive cardiac procedures, structural procedures, EP procedures, IR procedures, and medical imaging procedures.
• Performs manual holds to the artery and administers sedation and manages patients during intra-TEE and DCCV.
• Holds STEMI patients and inpatients if specialized care is needed.
• Follows and contributes to Banner Health's strategic initiatives.
• Manages phone calls, scans records, and prepares charts as part of nursing station duties.

Requirements

• Completed BSN program.
• At least 5 years of experience in Surgical, Procedural, PACU, or Cardiac ICU.
• Procedural knowledge, sedation/general anesthesia recovery, femoral artery access management, sheath pulling, radial access management, and TR bands.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.

• Ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

Full-time, 3 12-hour shifts; 0530-1000, varied starts based on cases. No set schedules. Mon-Fri, subject to change. Weekends and holidays needed. Subject to low census during low-volume.
