Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. This role involves utilizing the nursing process, coordinating care with other health team members, and providing recovery-focused care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Affirmatively assess physical, social, and psychological status of patients.
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Direct the interdisciplinary care team and delegate tasks as necessary.
- Provide or delegate care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines, and professional licensure provisions.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and document care accurately and timely.
- Promote the nursing profession and collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- BLS for healthcare providers certification.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Preferred previous PACU or ICU experience.
- Physical requirements include ongoing need for visual and manual dexterity, frequent interaction, lifting, transferring, and navigating crowded areas.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Current RN license, BLS certification, BSN within 4 years of hire.
- Experience: Less than 12 months may require BSN within 4 years of hire.

Pay
$35.22 - $53.29 per hour, actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
Schedule
Three 12-hour or four 10-hour shifts per week, primarily day shifts with rare night shift or overnight call. Shift start times based on unit needs, including 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, or 10:00 AM starts. Schedule will be established in an 8-week template based on department staffing needs. Every other Friday is required, with three weekend or evening/night call shifts, one post-operative closing shift, and one major holiday and one major summer holiday on-call assignment required annually. No 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts scheduled for this position.

Physical Requirements
