Full‑time night shift Registered Nurse position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown), 800 Prudential Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to the pediatric population using all aspects of the nursing process.
• Supervise care delivered by support staff.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Include patients and families in the development of an individualized care plan.
• Educate patients and families about their disease process and plan of care.
• Act as a patient advocate and provide care to critically ill patients requiring higher acuity.
• Uphold the hospital’s mission statement.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of cardiac experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of telemetry experience preferred.
• Hospital experience required.
• Emergency Department experience required.
• Successful completion of a Level II background check (state FDLE and national FBI fingerprinting) is required for hiring and continued employment.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Conscious sedation certification preferred.
• Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
