Registered Nurse - Physical Medicine - Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Case Manager
About the role
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Physical Medicine - Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California.
Responsibilities
- Care for Military men and women
- Work directly with medical case management for patients requiring intensive services
- Collaborate with the TBI multidisciplinary team to resolve issues related to patient care, communication, policies, and resources
- Establish and maintain liaison with appropriate community agencies and organizations
- Provide education, guidance, and resources to patients and their families in both MTF and community settings
Requirements
- Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from a Nursing Program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Possess a minimum of 1 year experience
- Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice as a clinical nurse in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands
Qualifications
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of traumatic brain injury care and treatment
Benefits
No Federal Holidays or Weekends
Pay
To be determined but in the range of $35-$50
Schedule
Full time, Mon - Fri, between 0700 - 1700 hours. Shifts provided on Monday through Friday will normally be scheduled for an 8.5-to-9-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30-to-60-minute lunch break, respectively.
