REGISTERED NURSE (PER DIEM NIGHTS) IMC
About the role
The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join their dedicated team at Summerlin Hospital. Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed facility known for its comprehensive range of services including emergency, maternity, children's medical center, cardiovascular, surgical, women’s health, and oncology care. It is accredited for chest pain with PCI and primary stroke center services.
Responsibilities
- Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
- Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
- Experience: One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients).
- Other certifications as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
