Registered Nurse Per Diem, Infant/Toddler

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Educates patients and families on treatment plans and health conditions.
• Collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure by the New York State Department of Education as a registered professional nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification encouraged.
• Able to move/lift heavy equipment and patients weighing a minimum of 34-40lbs.
• Fine motor coordination required for manipulating biomedical equipment.
• Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

• Able to perform the following physical activities for the majority of the time at work: standing, walking, sitting.
