Registered Nurse, Per Diem, Float Pool

About the Role

A per diem registered nurse who provides direct and indirect patient care across multiple departments, adjusting nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patients, including reassessments as needed.
• Utilizes triage processes to prioritize timely care and accurately assigns triage categories.
• Manages and reassesses patient pain, employing appropriate techniques and educating patients and families.
• Communicates effectively with physicians regarding patient condition changes.
• Responds quickly to clinical changes, performing general nursing duties under adequate supervision.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Willing to float to all units as required.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in the relevant state.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• PALS certification (to be obtained within six months).
• Minimum of two years recent experience in critical care or emergency department settings.
