Registered Nurse - Per Diem

About the role

The Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery role involves providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care to pregnant patients during labor, obstetrical emergencies, and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Coordinating interdisciplinary treatment
• Supporting patients and their families physically, emotionally, and spiritually
• Monitoring labor progress
• Educating patients
• Supporting clinical and emotional needs throughout childbirth
• Demonstrating service excellence, teamwork, and adherence to ethical standards

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN program
• Valid Nevada nursing license
• Relevant certifications such as BLS, NRP, STABLE, and ACLS
• Preferred experience: at least one year in an acute care setting
• Fetal monitoring certification required within six months of hire
