Registered Nurse - Per Diem

About the role

Provides specialized care for sexual assault adult/adolescent survivors.

Responsibilities

• Conducts medical forensic exams, assessments, forensic specimen and photographic documentation.
• Provides compassionate, non-judgmental care.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams, law enforcement, and legal entities.
• Attends court proceedings.
• Ensures compliance with professional standards.
• Performs forensic exams and ensures compliance.
• Participates in meetings and court proceedings.
• Works closely with community partners to support survivors.

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• BSN preferred.
• Certified as an SANE through the Illinois Attorney General's Office.
• Forensic nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrates computer literacy (Epic training provided if needed).

Skills

• Knowledge of forensic collection and trauma-informed care.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
