Registered Nurse - Pediatrics, Wilcox
About the role
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children's Wilcox Unit is dedicated to providing family-centered, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary care for children with cancer and blood disorders, as well as general pediatric medical-surgical care for adolescents and other aged pediatric patients. As a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, the Wilcox Unit participates in National Cancer Center Institute-approved clinical trials, offering the most current treatments to its patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing services through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care in the Wilcox Unit.
- Function as an associate to a charge nurse, and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License.
- One (1) year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
- Current Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) CPR cards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- EPIC proficient.
- Completion of a national Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider course.
- Certified pediatric hematology and oncology nurse.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
