Key Responsibilities
- Congduct thorough patient assessments using subjective and objective data
- Administer care per established protocols under the direction of the Medical Director
- Develop individualized care plans, including education and referrals
- Refer patients to appropriate medical and human service agencies using knowledge of community resources
- Provide health education and counseling to support patient wellness
- Report communicable diseases in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform venipuncture and administer parenteral medications and nebulizer treatments as ordered
- Accurately document all patient interactions and treatments
- Uphold legal and ethical standards in nursing practice
- Apply knowledge of the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice
- Adapt to evolving trends in nursing and demonstrate clinical competence
- Utilize and document appropriately within grant-funded programs (e.g., adult/children's medication, eyeglass, dental, diabetic programs)
- Cooordinate care with volunteer staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and clinic safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Wisconsin
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in community health or public health preferred
- Knowledge of local support services and referral networks
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Commitment to health equity and serving diverse populations
- Pediatric care experience preferred
