Role Overview

Position: Pediatric Acute Care Nurse
Location: Wichita, KS
Facility: Ascension Via Christi, St Francis

Responsibilities

• Coordinate holistic patient care by collaborating with medical teams to ensure seamless treatment plans.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately to deliver high-quality, safe care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient conditions for proactive care adjustments.
• Lead discharge planning and patient education for smooth transitions home.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with credential from the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hiring.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hiring.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent licensure.

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a pediatric setting.
