Registered Nurse, Pediatric Pulmonology Clinic

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing for patients following established standards and practices.
• Affords assistance to physicians and staff in coordinating patient care and managing patient access.
• Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests, and referrals.
• Serves as a preceptor for clinical staff.
• Supports the pediatric pulmonologist in the inpatient setting, participating in daily rounds, assisting with bedside and operating room procedures, and supporting real-time documentation.
• Facilitates communication among hospital teams, patients, and families.
• Works in a fast-paced inpatient and procedural environment, ensuring continuity of care between hospital and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Proficient in the English language, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills.
• Current Louisiana State license as RN and BLS certification.
