Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU)

About the role

Inpatient Registered Nurse in the Pediatric ICU, responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in a specialized unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects of patient and family care.
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests according to policies.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and modify care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure safety protocols.
• Participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to a safe environment through active involvement in safety and safety education programs.
• Complete assessments, provide direct patient care, coordinate discharge planning, participate in unit decision-making, and support organizational safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, clinical environment.
