About the role
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is seeking a compassionate and sensitive Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time regular position with a 0.9 FTE.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing services through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care.
- Function as an associate to a charge nurse, and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities.
- Support pediatric patients with the most acute medical requirements, including those at risk of organ failure and requiring continuous monitoring.
- Offer comprehensive, family-oriented care to optimize health and well-being for young patients.
Requirements
- Current Hawai’i Registered Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) CPR cards.
- Two (2) years recent registered nurse experience in a critical care setting.
- Two (2) years recent registered nurse experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education, training or work experience.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse certification.
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CPR card.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) card.
