Registered Nurse - Pediatric Behavioral Health, Full time Days (7AM - 3:30PM) SIGN ON BONUS

About the role
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Garfield Park Hospital. The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates, and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process, which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. The Registered Nurse is authorized to initiate restraints or seclusion and assess continuation.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Garfield Park Hospital.
- Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care utilizing the nursing process integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
- Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis.
- Promote and enhance professional nursing practice on the unit.
- Authorize initiation of restraints or seclusion and assess continuation.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current license to practice nursing in Illinois.
- Nursing (RN) experience required; behavioral health experience preferred.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
