Registered Nurse - PCU Nurse Manager

About the role

The Nurse Manager is the designated first-line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the 24/7 operation of their assigned units and provides coverage for other NMs as needed. The NM is responsible and accountable for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance. They function as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team.

Qualifications

• Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency, Basic Education Requirements, Current, Full, Active, and Unrestricted Registration as a Graduate Professional Nurse.
• Grade Determinations: Scope, Education, and Dimension criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates.
• Physical Requirements: Visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, manual dexterity, potentially long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing, exposure to infected patients and contaminated materials, and exposure to patients who are combative secondary to delirium, dementia, or psychiatric disorders.
