Registered Nurse - Pain Management - Per Diem

About the role

The Registered Clinic Nurse provides primary nursing support, patient education, and assists physicians with diagnosis and treatment in a clinical setting. The position involves overseeing clinic flow, triaging patient calls, documenting medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting invasive procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as clinic lead, monitor staffing, and assist with daily clinic operations.
• Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and ensure test results are available for providers.
• Support invasive procedures, prepare and collect laboratory specimens, and manage medication administration including IVs and infusions.
• Monitor and maintain diagnostic equipment, ensure aseptic techniques, and uphold safety standards.
• Educate patients on conditions and treatments, and serve as a preceptor for new staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
• Preferred at least one year of RN work experience.
• Competent in sterile technique, medication administration, and equipment management.
• Knowledge of IV therapy, medication protocols, and procedural support.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
