Requirements

• California RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• EPIC charting experience
• 2 years of recent clinical experience in critical care or PACU in an acute care setting of similar size and complexity
• 2 years' experience with airway management
• Experience with central lines and post-procedure care in a critical care/PACU environment

Responsibilities

• Provide competent care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, neurological, renal, and endocrine diseases, sepsis, carcinoma, and pre- and post-operative surgical patients, including pediatric patients.
• Recognize life-threatening conditions and intervene appropriately.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate an interdisciplinary plan of patient/family care.
• Anticipate and recognize potential problems and notify the Charge Nurse, Physician, and other nursing staff as needed.
• Provide leadership and manage care through others using Infection Control Principles and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of nursing processes in addressing physical, psychosocial, and psychological needs of patients.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills.
• Completion of unit-specific orientation and competencies.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Ability to travel as required, with a valid California Driver’s License and proof of liability insurance if using own vehicle.
