About the role
Nashville General Hospital is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN), PACU in Nashville, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Properly maintains supplies, equipment, and PACU area.
- Performs assessment for the post anesthesia patient.
- Develops patient specific plans of care and implements prioritized interventions.
- Recognizes, reports, and documents changes in patient's health status and alerts appropriate nurse/physician of significant changes.
- Demonstrates capability of assessing neurological status, cardiac arrhythmias, and takes appropriate action.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Associates degree required, Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
- Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state.
- BLS and ACLS is required.
- One year of experience in an acute care area is required.
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) preferred.
Qualifications
- Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility’s charting practices.
- Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices.
